For the 4th consecutive year, Yole Développement organizes its Power Electronics Market Briefing during the PCIM Europe show. Entitled “Are Power Electronics Ready for High Temperature?”, the 2016 edition will take place on May 11, 2016 in the Industry Forum Area (Hall 6 – 248) of PCIM Europe (Nuremberg, Germany), from 10:00 to 12:00 AM. Entrance is free for PCIM Europe visitors.

Power density increases, space saving trends and new mechanical configurations are driving power electronics innovations. Increasing temperatures (to coolant, junction temperature, and ambient temperature) have always been a trend, but as the industry is targeting 175-200°C range, the power electronics architecture will have to adapt. From wideband gap devices, assembly materials and passive elements, component suppliers are pushing innovations in to products. What do you think? Is the power electronics industry ready for high temperature?

Join the Market Briefing to listen to presentations and take part in panel discussions between speakers from key companies. More detailed information on speakers to come.
